
Pipeño Carrizal blanco (2020) from Louis Antoine Luyt (Maule Valey, Chile)
This great orange wine is made from Moscatel, Chasselas, Semillion, Torontel. For Carrizal, farmer Ernesto Soto tends organic dry-farmed bush vines ranging from 100 to 200 years old on sandy, clay soils rich in decomposed granite. The fruit is harvested by hand and manually destemmed using a zaranda.
Spontanous fermentation and maceration for 3 weeks with indigenous yeasts in open wooden lagares.
Unfined and unfiltered.
SO2= 20 mg/l.
In the glass it is amber.
The nose is medium(+) intensity and floral with aromas of orange blossom, lychee, citruses and a touch of minerals.
On the palate it is fruity with flavors of lychee, apricot, citruses and hint of minerals.
Medium body, vivid medium(+) acidity, touch of fine tannins, medium alcohol and medium(+) finish.
